Why aging shouldn’t be used as an excuse

Using our age as an excuse as to why we can’t do certain things is bogus. Age is simply a number, yet many of us use our age to make excuses that stops us in our tracks, that becomes a brick wall, or a mountain. It is no longer “aging gracefully”, but “I’m getting old” syndromes that plague our souls. Entertaining thoughts like that will definitely accelerate the aging process.

This topic is fresh in my mind because on my way to work on the train I read an article about the aging process and three individuals all over 76 years were the candidates. Their lives are full, active and rich and they don’t even look their age. Hmmm, wonder why that is? I’ll tell you why! There souls are very much alive and young which translates into how they look, and conduct their daily lives.

We’ve been hearing more about 60 being the new 40 – it isn’t that people use that as an excuse because they’re afraid to age, but rather it has become a revelation.  Why let a number dictate and add limits to what you can or cannot do? So, how about it…are you ready to make adjustments, changes in your mind regarding the aging process?

You and only you have the power within to take that step; there’s no time like the present, let’s do it!
